Adipotide is a two-module synthetic peptidomimetic conjugate. The N-terminal CKGGRAKDC homing segment is a cysteine-flanked nonapeptide whose paired cysteine residues constrain the loop conformation. A GG dipeptide linker connects it to the C-terminal D(KLAKLAK)₂ domain, a tandem heptapeptide repeat built entirely from D-enantiomeric amino acids that folds into an amphipathic α-helix. Structural studies of the conjugate have characterized the sequence alignment of the CKGGRAKDC motif and the membrane-associating behavior of the amphipathic helical domain in vitro.
