Peptide lot numbers: how to match a vial to its certificate of analysis

A lot number identifies one batch of a compound made and tested together. Ours read like BPC-10-001: a product code, the milligrams the lot was labelled with when it was sent for testing, and a three-digit sequence. The same number is printed on the vial, on its certificate, and in the address of its lot page.

What is a lot?

A lot, or batch, is a quantity of one compound made in one run and handled as a single unit. Every vial from a lot shares one certificate of analysis, because the test describes that batch and no other.

How do you read a Luvaminos lot number?

The three parts are separated by dashes. More examples: GHK-50-001, NAD-1000-001, SEMAX-5-001.

PartExampleWhat it means
Product codeBPCWhich product the lot is
Amount10The milligrams per vial the lot was labelled with when it was submitted for testing
Sequence001The lot's place in order: 001 is the first lot of that product and amount, 002 the next

Where is the lot number printed?

  • On the vial label, with the product and the amount.
  • On the lot's certificate of analysis, where it must match the vial.
  • In the address of the lot's page: luvaminos.com/coa/ followed by the lot number, for example luvaminos.com/coa/BPC-10-001.

What does the QR code on the vial open?

The QR code printed on each peptide vial opens that lot's page on luvaminos.com, with its certificate, its HPLC purity, its net content and the laboratory's accession number. Older vials carry a shorter link that goes to the same page.

Lot pages are permanent. A lot page stays up after the lot sells out, so a vial in storage can always be matched to its certificate.

What if you cannot scan the code?

Type the lot number into the lot checker on luvaminos.com/coa. Capital letters and spaces do not matter, so "bpc 10 001" finds BPC-10-001.

Questions

Why does a lot number matter?

It ties the vial you hold to the certificate that tested it. A certificate for a different lot is a report about a different batch.

Should the lot on the vial match the lot on the certificate?

Yes, character for character. If they differ, the certificate does not describe that vial.

Does a lot page disappear when the lot sells out?

No. Lot pages are permanent, so a vial bought months ago still opens its certificate.

How do I find the certificate of analysis for my lot?

Scan the QR code on the vial, or type the lot number into the lot checker at luvaminos.com/coa. Both open that lot's page with its certificate of analysis.

Is the middle number always the size I bought?

It is the amount the lot was labelled with when it was submitted for testing. In the rare case a lot is listed at a different size, its lot page shows both the submitted and the measured amount.
