Mechanism & Target Class
A lipidated, disulfide-cyclized synthetic peptide. The N-terminal C20 fatty-diacid acylation confers reversible albumin binding. Cryo-EM structural studies have characterized an E14–R17 intramolecular salt bridge that stabilizes the central helix, proline substitutions that reduce fibrillation propensity, and a transmembrane-bundle binding mode at class B G protein–coupled receptors involving a midregion 'bypass' structural motif.
Storage & Handling
- Lyophilized
- -20°C (-80°C long term); powder typically stable ~24 months.
- Handling
- High fibrillation propensity — avoid neutral pH on storage, avoid freeze-thaw, protect from light.
