Mechanism & Target Class
Combines two structurally distinct synthetic peptides. CJC-1295 / Mod GRF 1-29 is a 29-residue analog corresponding to the GRF(1-29) sequence with four substitutions (a D-amino-acid residue at position 2 plus substitutions at positions 8, 15, and 27) that confer protease resistance; in its long-circulating form a maleimido-linked side chain forms a covalent bond with serum albumin, extending plasma residence. Ipamorelin is a five-residue C-terminally amidated pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) whose non-proteinogenic residues confer metabolic stability. The two molecules engage separate G-protein-coupled receptor classes (class B and class A GPCRs) as structural binding contexts, so no single molecular target describes the pair.
Storage & Handling
- Lyophilized
- -20°C; typically stable 24-36 months desiccated and protected from light.
