Mechanism & Target Class
A 44-residue synthetic peptide corresponding to the GRF(1-44) sequence of a hypothalamic peptide, carrying an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl group and a C-terminal amide. It has been studied in complex with a class B GPCR. The N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl modification distinguishes its structure from the unmodified parent sequence and confers added resistance to N-terminal proteolysis.
